Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan, has asserted that India is avoiding negotiations on the Kashmir issue. Addressing students and faculty at Mirpur University of Science and Technology, he stressed the importance of resolving the longstanding disputes of Kashmir and Palestine.
Khan urged students to critically analyze global issues and foster an understanding of human rights. He highlighted military occupation and human rights violations, calling for diplomatic and educational efforts.
During the event, Abdullah Qureshi, President of the Paradigm Association, was recognized for his leadership in guiding the youth. The Vice-Chancellor Brigadier (Retd) Dr. Muhammad Younis Javed welcomed Khan at the start of the event.
In a question and answer session, students engaged in discussions on Kashmir and Palestine, receiving reasoned responses from Khan. A commemorative shield was presented to him at the conclusion.
Khan expressed hope for a response from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the international community against India’s actions. He maintained that Pakistan has succeeded on various fronts and will prevail diplomatically.
Rejecting India’s accusations after the Pahalgam incident, he described them as baseless and lacking evidence. He welcomed the U.S. President’s mediation offer, noting that India is under international pressure while the global environment is becoming favorable for Pakistan.
