Former President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Masood Khan, stated that India’s attempts to portray itself as a victim of terrorism are failing. The international community now recognizes the true nature of the extremist Hindutva administration, which promotes violent ideologies globally, fuels regional conflicts, and violates international law. He expressed these views during a television interview.
Sardar Masood Khan cited India’s lack of support at the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit as evidence of its diplomatic isolation. He explained that the SCO operates on consensus, meaning any dissenting member prevents inclusion in joint communiques. Russia, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and other member states rejected India’s stance, signaling international awareness of India’s harmful and deceptive conduct.
He stated that India attempted to solidify its position within the SCO’s core principles of combating terrorism, separatism, and extremism. However, India’s ruling party promotes religious extremism and fascism, fueling intolerance and hatred against minorities within the country. Sardar Masood Khan argued that the policies of the extremism-rooted Indian leadership contradict their counter-terrorism pronouncements.
Referring to the assassination of Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar and the arrest of Indian agents in the United States, Sardar Masood Khan highlighted India’s involvement in international terrorism. He declared that the world is no longer willing to accept India’s false terrorism claims as it accuses Pakistan of the same crimes it commits, likening it to a criminal accusing law enforcement.
Sardar Masood Khan termed India’s argument on the incompatibility of nuclear weapons and terrorism as contradictory, since India itself exemplifies this contradiction. He described India’s military doctrine as dangerous, driven by malicious intentions of achieving regional dominance through threats and aggression.
Commending Pakistan’s tolerant and fact-based diplomatic approach, Sardar Masood Khan noted that SCO member states sided with Pakistan, rejecting India’s fabricated statements. India’s narrative not only failed but also exposed its destructive nature.
Concluding the interview, the former president reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stability, and responsible global citizenship. He urged the government to expose India’s disinformation campaign and promote a truth-based narrative. Sardar Masood Khan’s interview was widely praised by policymakers and academics, terming it an articulate representation of Pakistan’s national stance.
