Increased Water Inflow in Sindh’s Rivers and Barrages

A significant increase in water inflow and outflow continues at Sindh’s three barrages, raising concerns about potential flooding, the Sindh Information Department reported. Guddu Barrage is currently receiving 624,456 cusecs of water and discharging 594,936 cusecs.

Sukkur Barrage has an inflow of 560,890 cusecs and an outflow of 508,830 cusecs. Further down the Indus River, Kotri Barrage is receiving 284,325 cusecs and releasing 273,170 cusecs.

A decrease in water flow has been observed at Panjnad, where 256,230 cusecs are currently flowing in and 253,530 cusecs are flowing out.
