Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, in his Ashura message, has emphasized the importance of Imam Hussain’s sacrifice for truth and justice. Chaudhry said that Imam Hussain’s stand in Karbala is a symbol of resistance against oppression, tolerance, and freedom.

The President declared that the martyrs of Karbala are a beacon of light for the oppressed around the world. He termed the tragedy of Karbala a turning point in Islamic history, saying that Imam Hussain and his companions made unparalleled sacrifices for the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Chaudhry urged citizens to embrace unity, harmony, and sacrifice on this occasion. Emphasizing discipline and unity, he said that by following the example of Imam Hussain and his companions, the voice of the Kashmiri people will be strengthened.
