More than 81,000 people remain displaced across Sindh following recent natural calamities, according to official statistics that underscore an ongoing humanitarian challenge despite extensive relief activities that have enabled over 117,000 to return home.

A detailed report issued by the Government of Sindh’s Information Department, based on data from the Provincial (Rain and Flood Emergency) Monitoring Cell, revealed that a total of 198,629 individuals were initially uprooted by the emergencies.

To manage the crisis, authorities established a network of 528 relief camps throughout the province to shelter affected families. In a parallel effort to address health concerns, 119 medical camps were set up, providing essential treatment to 152,426 patients.

Significant measures were also taken to protect the region”s livestock, a critical source of livelihood. The government created 100 dedicated animal camps, successfully evacuating 500,250 animals from hazardous areas. Furthermore, a massive veterinary campaign provided treatment and vaccinations to 1,776,243 livestock.

The Sindh government reiterated its commitment to the affected populace, stating it will continue to stand by them in this time of crisis. A spokesperson confirmed that all government institutions, district administrations, and rescue teams are engaged in round-the-clock operations to protect lives and properties.
