The Meteorological Department has warned that by April 30, daytime temperatures in the southern regions of the country are expected to be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than normal, while in the northern areas, temperatures could be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius higher.

On Tuesday, the weather is expected to be hot and dry in most parts of the country; however, extreme heat may prevail in the central and southern regions. Strong winds are likely in the plains of southern Punjab, Balochistan, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

In the past 24 hours, the weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, with extreme heat felt in the southern regions. The maximum temperature recorded in Khairpur was 48 degrees Celsius. In other areas, temperatures ranged between 46 and 47 degrees Celsius.

On Tuesday, the weather in Islamabad and its surrounding areas is expected to remain hot and dry. Daytime temperatures could be 4 to 6 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

In most districts of Balochistan, strong winds are expected after noon. Daytime temperatures are expected to be 3 to 5 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

Severe heat has also been forecasted for the southern districts of Punjab. In most districts of Sindh, daytime temperatures could be 5 to 7 degrees Celsius higher than normal.

Severe heat is also expected in the southern districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while the weather in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir is likely to remain hot and dry.
