ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said the government will take all possible measures to promote hockey among the youth.

He was talking to the former Captain of Pakistan Hockey Team Islahuddin Siddiqui here in Islamabad on Tuesday. The Prime Minister directed to provide all kinds of facilities to the hockey players in order to better prepare them for international competitions.

Alluding to the glorious past of Pakistan Hockey, he said the current situation of the national sport is worrying. He however expressed the commitment to take all possible steps to help it regain its past glory.

Anwaar ul Haq Kakar said legends like Islahuddin Siddiqui are the real heroes of Pakistan. On the occasion, Islahuddin Siddiqui presented his autobiography ‘Dash Through My Life’ to the Prime Minister.
