KARACHI: The gold prices in Pakistan have increased by Rs2500 per tola after witnessing a hike in the dollar rate in Pakistan on Wednesday.

The All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA) has said that the price of 24 Karats of pure gold settled at Rs1,52,500 per tola. The association said the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold also increased by Rs2143 to reach at Rs1,30,315.

In the international market, the price of the yellow metal was also increased by $5 per ounce to settle at $1,721. According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the soaring price of the dollar against the Pakistan rupee is behind the hike in gold prices.
