Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Gilgit to discuss the impact of recent floods in the region. The governor detailed the destruction wrought by the heavy rainfall and resulting inundation.

Shah also provided an update on the status of development initiatives in Gilgit and the current security conditions. The prime minister received a briefing on the progress of these endeavors.

The two leaders offered condolences for the lives lost in the recent floods and torrential downpours.
