Frontier Corps IG lauds anti-terror efforts of KP Police

PESHAWAR: Inspector General Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa North Major General Noor Wali Khan visited the residence of martyred Superintendent Police Ejaz Khan and paid rich tribute to the great sacrifice of the officer.

The Inspector General of Frontier Corps paid this visit in Peshawar today on the instructions from Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.

The valiant Police Officer embraced martyrdom on Tuesday last during an anti-terrorists operation in Katlang area of Mardan.

Speaking on the occasion, Major General Noor Wali Khan said Shaheed Ejaz Khan was a brave and patriotic police officer as he was very active in the war against terrorism and he laid down his live to eliminate the scourge of terrorism from the country. He also offered feteha for the departed soul and appreciated the spirit of his family.

On this occasion, the IG Frontier Corps presented a cheque of five million rupees to his family and said Pakistan Army will provide free education to the daughters of Shaheed Ejaz Khan.

Later, Major General Noor Wali Khan also visited the Mardan Regional Police Office and interacted with the officers and personnel, who participated in the anti-terrorist operation. He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has been alongside the Pakistan Army has been acting against terrorism for last several years.

The Inspector General further said peace was restored in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a result of the meritorious sacrifices of Law Enforcing Agencies. He expressed the confidence that nefarious designs of terrorists cannot shake resolve of police.
