Federal minister assures unwavering support for Balochistan’s educational advancement, poverty reduction

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Protection Syed Imran Ahmed Shah today emphasized Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s vision of a thriving Balochistan as essential for a robust Pakistan.

Speaking at a session in Quetta organized by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) and the Balochistan Rural Support Programme (BRSP), Shah underscored the vital contribution of religious scholars and seminaries in safeguarding the nation from internal strife. Minister of State for Education Wajiha Qamar, Provincial Education Minister Raheela Hameed Durrani, and PPAF Chief Nader Gul, along with parliamentarians and religious leaders, attended the event.

Shah commended PPAF and BRSP’s efforts in equipping seminary students with education, vocational skills, and ethical principles, transforming them into productive members of society. He lauded seminary scholars and administrators as inheritors of the prophetic legacy. Sharing a personal aspiration, the minister expressed his desire for his son to pursue religious studies at Madinah University and subsequently serve Islam and Pakistan. He pledged his ministry’s unwavering support for Balochistan’s educational advancement, poverty reduction, and social progress, aiming to bring the province on par with other regions of the country.
