FBR Orders Saturday Opening of Tax Offices Nationwide to Bolster Revenue Collection

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued a nationwide directive for its tax offices to remain operational this coming Saturday, a significant move aimed at accommodating taxpayers and accelerating revenue intake ahead of approaching deadlines.

In a communication released on Wednesday, the country’s primary tax collection body announced that all its field formations will be open for business on November 29, 2025.

The instruction applies to all Large Taxpayers Offices (LTOs), Medium Taxpayers Offices (MTOs), Corporate Tax Offices (CTOs), and Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) across the country.

According to the revenue authority, the decision is intended to support the smooth collection of duties and taxes. The FBR has clarified that the day will be observed as a regular working day to ensure all functions are performed efficiently and to provide maximum assistance to filers.
