Expected Rains and Floods in Sindh, President Directs All Institutions to Remain Alert

President Asif Ali Zardari has directed Sindh authorities to prepare for the expected torrential rains in the next 48 hours, which have raised fears of possible flooding. He directed provincial, district, and local government officials to remain on high alert and finalize preparedness arrangements, especially in low-lying coastal and plain areas. The president emphasized the importance of monitoring water levels in Hub Dam and other reservoirs to protect adjacent populations.

He appealed to residents to exercise caution and follow government instructions, advocating for the relocation of people to safe places. Zardari also stressed the need for the deployment of emergency relief workers, engaging the press, and enhancing public understanding using local governance to mitigate risks and safeguard lives.
