The Election Commission of Pakistan informed the youth, minority communities, persons with disabilities, and transgender people of Karachi about the importance of voting, and emphasized their crucial role in the country’s democratic process.

This voter awareness program was held on Wednesday at CMS Government Boys Secondary School on Nishtar Road under the supervision of District Election Commissioner South, Ms. Azra Mahesar. During the session, students were briefed on the power and utility of exercising their right to vote.

A key focus of this educational event was the need to include marginalized groups in the electoral process. It was clarified how these communities play a vital role in society in Pakistan and around the world, and their vote carries the same weight and importance as any other citizen’s vote.

The school’s faculty thanked the District Election Commissioner South, Ms. Azra Mahesar, for choosing their institution for this important civic education campaign.

Local political representatives also attended the event.
