The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) today accelerated its relief efforts in flood-stricken Punjab under the direct instruction of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The agency has delivered additional aid to Khanewal, providing 1,000 tents for displaced families.

Thirteen trucks transported 670 tents from Sukkur, while another five trucks carried 330 tents from the NDMA”s Islamabad warehouse. The NDMA has distributed 2,270 tons of supplies to Punjab so far.

These provisions include blankets, tents, mosquito nets, water purification systems, quilts, cots, water containers, and 17 rescue vessels. Across Punjab, the NDMA has furnished a total of 36,000 tents to those impacted by the floods. The organization is closely overseeing all relief activities conducted by relevant agencies.
