Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and the head of the Muslim World League (MWL) on Tuesday urged a coordinated, unified strategy to end the oppression and human rights violations faced by Muslims globally, highlighting the issue during a high-level meeting at the Parliament House.

The discussion between Gilani and Dr. Mohammad bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, Secretary General of the MWL, centered on matters of mutual interest and the significant challenges confronting the Muslim Ummah.

During the meeting, the Senate Chairman underscored the vital role of the Muslim World League as a crucial platform for fostering cohesion among Islamic nations. He stated that through this forum, joint efforts could be undertaken to strengthen solidarity and address common issues facing Muslims across the globe.

Gilani lauded the services of the MWL and its leadership, emphasizing that mutual trust and collaboration were key to enhancing the collective strength of the Muslim world.

In his remarks, Dr. Al-Issa expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and termed his visit to Pakistan highly significant. He reaffirmed that the international organization would continue to bolster its cooperation with Pakistan.
