Deputy Prime Minister Stresses Coordinated Approach To Stabilize Food Prices

A high-level meeting convened in Islamabad on Monday to address the escalating concerns over the availability and affordability of essential food items. Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, the discussion centered on the current supply and demand balance, recent price fluctuations, and strategies to maintain consistent access to crucial foodstuffs for consumers.

The Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of a unified policy response to stabilize the market. He reiterated the government”s dedication to protecting the interests of both consumers and producers through anticipatory strategies, efficient regulatory control, and cooperative efforts across government bodies.

Attending the meeting were the Minister for Commerce, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, Secretary Commerce, and high-ranking representatives from concerned ministries and agencies.
