Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani today expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing away of former Speaker of the Sindh Assembly, Agha Siraj Durrani.

In a statement expressing deep sorrow, Chairman Gilani paid tribute to the late politician, remembering him as a respected parliamentarian, a skilled administrator, and an unwavering advocate for democratic principles.

Mr. Gilani acknowledged Mr. Durrani”s extensive career, noting that he had dedicated a significant portion of his life to public service and had been instrumental in shaping the political landscape of Sindh.

The Senate Chairman also highlighted Mr. Durrani”s close ties to the Pakistan Peoples Party leadership, identifying him as one of the close associates of the late Prime Minister Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He emphasized that Mr. Durrani consistently worked to advance the manifesto and vision of the party.
