The Pakistan Army has significantly enhanced its conventional strike capabilities with the successful training launch of the indigenously developed Fatah-4 cruise missile, a sophisticated weapon system capable of hitting targets up to 750 kilometers away.

According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the trial conducted on Tuesday showcased the capabilities of the newly inducted projectile. The Fatah-4 is outfitted with advanced avionics and a state-of-the-art navigational system.

The weapon system possesses a terrain-hugging capability, allowing it to fly at low altitudes to evade enemy missile defense systems. This feature enables the missile to engage designated targets with high precision.

Now part of the Army Rocket Force Command, the Fatah-4 is expected to substantially augment the reach, lethality, and survivability of Pakistan’s conventional missile arsenal.

The launch was witnessed by the Chief of General Staff, senior officers from the armed forces, and teams of the dedicated scientists and engineers behind the missile’s creation.

Following the event, the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and Services Chiefs congratulated the participating troops, scientists, and engineers on the successful training launch.
