A devastating car bomb explosion rocked Quetta on Tuesday, killing at least 10 people and injuring over 30 near the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters, an act vehemently denounced by Acting Chairman of the Senate, Sydaal Khan, as a ‘cowardly and brutal act of terrorism.’

The Acting Chairman expressed profound sorrow over the tragic loss of life, characterizing the deadly incident as a failed conspiracy aimed at undermining Pakistan’s peace and stability. He voiced confidence that the resilience and unity of the nation would foil these malicious designs.

Highlighting the country’s long struggle, Sydaal Khan stated, ‘The scourge of terrorism has claimed thousands of innocent lives, yet the people of Pakistan have always stood firm and resilient. We will not rest until this menace is completely eradicated from our soil.’

He attributed the despicable attack to anti-state elements attempting to weaken the country. He underscored that the entire nation, alongside the Armed Forces and law enforcement agencies, remains united and determined to defeat the enemies of peace.

Extending his sympathies to the bereaved families, the Acting Chairman prayed for the deceased and called for a swift and complete recovery for the wounded. He directed concerned authorities to provide the best possible medical treatment to all those injured in the blast.

Sydaal Khan also demanded that the perpetrators of the assault be brought to justice without delay. He reaffirmed the state’s unwavering policy against terrorism, vowing that the fight will continue until the threat is completely eliminated.
