KARACHI: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Monday claimed to have killed the mastermind of the Karachi Police Office (KPO) attack along with an his accomplice following an exchange of fire in the metropolis.
According to a report, on a tip-off, a CTD police team raided an area near Mai Gari Shrine in Manghopir locality of Karachi. Seeing the CTD team, the terrorists opened fire and in the retaliatory fire by the police, two terrorists, including the mastermind behind the KPO attack, Iriadullah, and his accomplice Abdul Wahid, were killed. The police also arrested two other suspects. The police also claimed to have recovered a suicide jacket, five weapons, and two motorcycles from the possession of the detained terrorists.
