Under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Ahmad Usman Javed, the District Regional Transport Authority has conducted actions against illegally LPG-fitted vehicles, resulting in a fine of 30,000 Rupees and the impounding of six vehicles.
Following the orders of Secretary DRTA Wasif Yaseen, officials conducted inspections of public transport at various locations. During these inspections, vehicles running on LPG were taken off the roads.
During the inspections, LPG cylinders were removed from the vehicles, and the owners were fined 30,000 Rupees.
On this occasion, Secretary DRTA Wasif Yaseen stated that LPG-fitted vehicles could lead to fatal accidents. He instructed transporters to act responsibly and refrain from running public transport on LPG; otherwise, heavy fines would be imposed, and vehicles would be impounded.
