KARACHI: Caretaker Federal Minister for Information, Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs Murtaza Solangi and Sindh Caretaker Minister for Information, Minority Affairs and Social Protection Muhammad Ahmad Shah held a joint press conference at the Sindh Assembly Building Committee Room here on Thursday.
On this occasion, Caretaker Information Minister Muhammad Ahmad Shah welcomed Murtaza Solangi and said that we as Information Ministers will be in constant contact with the friends of the media to brief them about performance of the caretaker federal and provincial governments.
On this occasion, Caretaker Federal Minister Murtaza Solangi said that he has come here today to congratulate Muhammad Ahmad Shah on taking charge as Caretaker Provincial Minister of Information.
Solangi said that we will benefit from Muhammad Ahmad Shah’s experiences in the fields of literature, culture and social welfare and in this regard, we will also form a joint strategy.
Murtaza Solangi said that there should be no doubt about holding the election. The election will be held on its scheduled date.
He said that according to the constitution, the elected parliament has the right to serve the people. In response to a question, he said that not having confidence and showing lack of confidence are two different things. Complaining about not getting a level playing field is part of politics.
In response to a question, he said that the building of Radio Pakistan at Gulshan-e- Iqbal is new and functional.
On this occasion, the caretaker provincial minister Mohammad Ahmad Shah said that in the light of the instructions of the caretaker chief minister of Sindh, the ministers of the Sindh government will hold their press conferences to inform media about the performance of their respective departments and they are trying to invite a minister every day to share the performance of his department through press conference.
He clarified that the one who is responsible for improving the performance of the departments is also authorized to share his performance and, in this regard, the Department of Information will continue to perform the duties to develop communication between the media and the departments.
On the occasion of the press conference, Director General Press Information Department Ms. Iram Tanveer, Director Admin and Accounts Information Department Sindh Muhammad Yusuf Kaburo, Director Hizbullah Memon and Director Press Information Sindh Hassan Asghar Naqvi were also present.
