Chief Secretary announced the Balochistan Youth Empowerment Project in the province. To eliminate unemployment and poverty among the youth and marginalized communities in Balochistan, Chief Secretary Shakeel Qadir Khan announced a comprehensive program at the inaugural ceremony. This project aims to provide the region’s young population with valuable skills and employment opportunities, thereby fostering a peaceful and prosperous society. The project will be launched in six districts and will be gradually expanded throughout the province. The program aims to impact over 300,000 households and spread a message of peace and unity. Under a key component of the program, more than 900 young people will be appointed as agents for positive change in their communities. The program will strive to empower 57,000 households, while over 4,000 young people will be provided with skills development and employment opportunities. Additionally, in collaboration with Akhuwat, 12,000 young people will be given access to micro-loans, promoting self-reliance and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, the provincial government has taken steps to reactivate 164 defunct basic health centers, which is expected to restore trust between the public and authorities and improve the quality of life for residents. Chief Secretary Khan emphasized that these initiatives are part of a broader effort to alleviate economic hardships and mitigate environmental risks, aiming for a prosperous and resilient Balochistan.
