Binance Academy and Pakistan’s IT Ministry Unite to Propel Blockchain Education

Binance Academy and Pakistan’s Ministry of IT and Telecom have revealed a strategic partnership aimed at revolutionizing blockchain education nationwide. This initiative is set to impact 300 educators and 80,000 students across 20 universities in Pakistan by 2026, building a robust talent pipeline for the tech ecosystem.

The collaboration extends the efforts of the Global University Outreach Program, a significant Web3 educational initiative by Binance Academy and the Blockchain and AI Technology Center. The focus remains on embedding blockchain education into university curricula globally, promoting human capital growth through open educational platforms and industry alliances.

Bader Al Kalooti, MEASA Head of Growth and Operations at Binance, emphasized the importance of equipping people with blockchain skills, noting the collaboration as a substantial move towards fostering innovation in the digital economy. Minister of IT and Telecom, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja, highlighted the partnership”s alignment with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif”s vision for a digitally empowered Pakistan, marking it as a crucial milestone in the nation”s digital transformation journey.

The partnership underscores Binance’s commitment to collaborating with Pakistan”s government, aiming to cultivate a secure environment for blockchain adoption and contribute to a wellregulated digital landscape. By supporting the education of future leaders, Binance seeks to advance Pakistan’s position in the global digital economy.

Since 2022, Binance Academy has provided Web 3.0 skills training to over 3,000 students in Pakistan, covering 13 universities across three provinces. The Global University Outreach Program, which began in 2023 in Kazakhstan, has expanded to 20 countries, aiming to educate over one million students by 2026, thus empowering a new generation of blockchain professionals globally.
