KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the accident of the boat of flood victims near Sehwan, and the consequent loss of precious human lives.
In a statement, he said the news of the accident that happened to the displaced flood victims is shocking. “All my sympathies are with the affected families and I share their grief equally,” he said. Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also instructed Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah to use all possible resources for an immediate rescue operation.
The foreign minister said that the pain of losing loved ones during floods is unbearable and that the federal and provincial governments are taking steps to face and overcome these tragedies with all the available resources. He said that the government of Sindh should also provide financial support to the families who lost their loved ones during the floods.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that prevention of such accidents should be ensured in the future, while the public should also cooperate with the administration. “Local officials and workers of the party should cooperate with the administration in the rescue operation, and share the grief of the affected families,” he added.
