QUETTA:,,, Jan Achakzai, Caretaker Minister for Information, has said that 150,000 undocumented immigrants, including Afghan citizens, have been repatriated.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Wednesday, he said that about 250,000 undocumented Afghan citizens were expected to repatriate to Afghanistan via Chaman-Spinboldak crossing point by December.
He said that Afghanistans posed two kinds of threats to Pakistan, “One threat is from border while other threat is from undocumented Afghan citizens living in Pakistan”. Achakzai said that Pakistan wanted to boost trade with Afghanistan, because, he added Pakistan and Afghanistan could develop by promoting mutual trade.
Goods were being smuggled in the garb of trade after Taliban came in power in Afghanistan, said he. Asking Taliban government to refrain from levelling baseless allegations on Pakistan in the garb of Afghan transit trade, he demanded the interim Afghan government to handover the those persons to Pakistan who were involved in carrying out terrorist activities in Balochistan.
