Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and Afghanistan’s Acting Consul General Mawlawi Mohammad Habib Nasir discussed the repatriation of Afghan refugees residing in Balochistan.
The provincial administration is implementing the national plan for their return and providing comprehensive assistance to those returning to Afghanistan. Bugti reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth transition, especially for vulnerable groups like the elderly, women, and children. Referring to Afghan women as “mothers and sisters,” he emphasized the cultural importance of compassion and respect.
A senior official has been designated as focal person to facilitate the process and address administrative matters. Bugti assured that the repatriation would be gradual and respectful, highlighting Balochistan’s commitment to providing necessary cooperation. The Chief Minister affirmed that the dignified return of Afghan refugees is beneficial for both countries.
