KHANOZAI: Twelve people were killed and more than 30 others injured in an alleged suicide attack at the election office of the candidate of Balochistan Awami Party in Khanozai area of district Pishin in Balochistan province on Wednesday.
According to rescue sources, an unidentified suicide attacker blew himself up in the election office of Asfandyar Kakar, BAP’s candidate from PB-47 in Khanozai area of district Pishin. As a resultant, 12 men died and more than 30 sustained injuries.
A heavy contingents of security personnel and rescue teams rushed to the scene and performed rescue operation. Panic gripped the area soon after the incidemnt. There was hue and cry of the injured people at the scene.
The bodies and injured were rushed to Tehsil Hospital Khanozai and District Headquarters Hospital Pishin for codal formalities and treatment, respectively. Medical Superintendent Tehsil Hospital Khanozai Dr Habib said that condition of most of the injured was not stable. Further investigation was underway.
