KARACHI: The fire erupted in Teen Hatti area of Karachi was staged, police said Tuesday.

Karachi police claimed that they had arrested suspect Fahad involved in the fire and started further investigation. The police further claimed that the accused torched huts in a bid to get financial assistance from the government. “The accused said he thought huts dwellers would get huge amounts of money just like last year’s episode where the government gave money to affectees,” the police claimed.

Mystery shrouds as 10 fire incidents in row rocked Karachi within 20 days. This is for the first time in Karachi that eighth fire incidents have happened in a row within two weeks, which may be a conspiracy. There is need to investigate these issues.
