Reservation of 31 acres for bio gas plant for Karachi Bus Rapid Transit approved

KARACHI: A meeting of the Land Reservation Committee was held at the Sindh Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah.

The meeting approved reservation of 31 acres of land in Malir Bhens Colony for Bio Gas plant for Karachi Bus Rapid Transit (Red line) project. The meeting approved allotment of 100 acres of land in Kandhkot Campus of Sukkur IBA. The meeting also approved allotment of 6 acres of land for the Regional Campus of Allama Iqbal Open University in Qasimabad, Hyderabad. Land Reservation Committee also approved 20 acres of land for setting up Police Headquarters at Sujawal district.

Approval was also given for the reservation of 2 acres of land for Dahabiji police station and 50 acres of land for the graveyard in Malir district. The meeting was attended by Senior Member Board of Revenue Shamsuddin Soomro, Additional Chief Secretary Home Qazi Shahid Pervez, Secretary Transport while Commissioner Hyderabad and Commissioner Sukkur and various Deputy Commissioners through video link.
