QUETTA: Administrator Quetta Metropolitan Corporation, Shaukat Ali said that parking problem in Quetta city is serious but construction of parking plaza will solve this problem to a great extent.

In the first phase, on an experimental basis, some of the city’s road vehicles will be parked in the parking lot. We will work with financial institutions to beautify the various streets and squares of the city. The city of Quetta belongs to all of us.

He expressed these views while addressing separate meetings with Deputy Commissioner Quetta, SSP Traffic and Central Association of Traders, representatives of various banks and officials of the organizational alliance. Deputy Commissioner Quetta Irfan Nawaz Memon, SSP Traffic Sher Ali, President Central Association of Traders Balochistan (Registered) Rahim Kakar, representatives of various banks of the city and officials of the organizational alliance of the Metropolitan Corporation were present on the occasion.

Earlier, the Administrator Quetta regarding the parking plaza visited the city along with Deputy Commissioner Quetta, SSP Traffic and traders and reviewed the situation regarding parking of vehicles of different roads in the parking plaza. Administrator Quetta Metropolitan Corporation Quetta Shaukat Ali said that solving a serious problem like parking in the city would bring relief to the people.

He said that the parking plaza has been constructed. In the first phase, the Metropolitan Corporation in collaboration with the district administration and traffic police will park vehicles of different roads in the plaza on an experimental basis. The metropolitan corporation will provide full support in this regard. He said that Quetta is our city and the people have a responsibility to keep the city clean. That he should co-operate fully with the staff of the corporation as we are all responsible for the cleanliness of this city.
