Pakistan reports six more Covid deaths

KARACHI: Pakistan has reported six more Covid deaths and new pandemic cases in the last 24 hours while the nationwide tally of fatalities from the disease has jumped to 28,836 on Monday.

According to National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 244 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours while the total number of positive cases has surged to 1,289,293. The data shows 13,052 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,638 in Sindh 5,892 in KP, 962 in Islamabad, 743 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.

The NCOC said 478,017 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 443,886 in Punjab 180,661 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 180,696 in Islamabad, 34,608 in Azad Kashmir 33,532 in Balochistan and 10,426 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 22,564,577 coronavirus tests and 39,387 in the last 24 hours. 1,251,409 patients have recovered in the country whereas 731 patients are in critical condition. The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.61 percent.
