PAF gifts FT6 plane to AJK’s Mirpur city

KARACHI: Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has gifted an FT6 plane to Mirpur, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), the city of overseas Pakistanis, in order to further beautify it for public display, officials said Sunday.

According to the report, the plane, which will be installed at the city’s entrance, had featured both in 1965 and 1971 wars against India. PAF’s team of technicians has already reached the site, and is busy installing it.

The plane was first installed at Mandi Bahauddin following which it was taken to Peshawar where it was dismantled in order to install it in Mirpur. People of the city and its suburbs are reaching the site in large numbers to view it. They say that the plane gifted to the city by the air force is priceless.
