KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Industries and Commerce and Cooperative Department Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, while taking the notice of the incident of fire in the Saddar Cooperative Market , on Monday asked the Secretary Cooperative Department Sindh to form an inquiry committee, on which Secretary Cooperative Department Sindh Naseem ul Ghani Sehto has constituted the committee. The committee will be headed by Managing Director Cooperative Housing Authority Ijaz Ahmed Khatri. The committee will submit its report within 15 days.

Meanwhile, Dharejo said in a statement that prevention of such incidents is imperative because incidents of fire can lead to human tragedy. He further said that power lines should be secured in dense markets. Incidents of short circuit in dense markets are unfortunate. Dharejo said that on the fire incident at Saddar Cooperative Market has deeply saddened him and he is with the traders in this hour of grief.
