KARACHI: The Central Vice President PTI and Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, said on Thursday that ‘Riyasat-e-Madina aur Serrat-e-Khatim-ul-Nabiyain Conference’ will be organized at Sindh Governor’s House on Friday in connection with ‘Ashra-e-Rehmatul-lil-Almeen’.
He said while addressing a press conference along with PTI parliamentary leader in Sindh Assembly Bilal Gaffar, President Karachi division Khurram Sher Zaman, MPAs Jammal Siddiqui, Saeed Afridi and Shahnawaz Jadoon at Sind Assembly building. Haleem said that the government of Pakistan first time in history of the country is celebrating Rabi ul Awal in befitting manner with observance of “Ashra e Rehmatul-lil-Almeen” to set the direction and course of action for the future.
‘Riyasat-e-Madina aur Serrat-e-Khatim-ul-Nabiyain Conference’ is a major event in the regard that would be attended by over a thousand religious scholars, Ullema and Mashaikh belonging to different masalik as well as Sajjada Nasheens of various shrines.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi will address the event through video link while federal minister for Religious Affairs Pir Noorul Haq Qadri would specially attend the conference, he informed.
Establishment of Rehmatul-lil-Almeen Authority by the PM Imran Khan is the step in right direction for realizing the concept of Riyasat-e-Madina, Haleem said adding that “We in leadership of Imran Khan are eager to achieve the objectives which were founding principles of creation of Pakistan”.
Haleem said the nation had forgotten the path and were shy of its real identity and the message of Islam was not being conveyed to the youth while leaders of the past had tightened their lips on issues of utmost importance only because of fear of western powers.
PM Imran Khan eloquently presented Islam, its fundamental principles and exemplary personality of Hazrat Muhammad S.A.W at international forums while special content on Seeratun Nabi was included in curriculum from class 6 to 8, Haleem said.
“We are making remarkable progress on the right path and may face some challenges”, he said adding that he was confident that PTI would overcome the difficulties and global challenges arising out of COVID19 situation.
Coronavirus posed multiple threats to global economy and the entire worlds was facing its aftershocks in shape of ballooning inflation and economic pressures, he said. Federal government handled the challenges efficiently and ranked the third best among countries those managed the situation most efficiently.
For ensuring relief to low-income groups special measures were in offing and soon a comprehensive policy would be announced by the federal government in the regard, Haleem Adil Sheikh said adding that important issues were deliberated upon in core committee meeting held with PM Imran Khan in chair.
The low-income groups and destitute persons would be provided targeted subsidies on items of daily use including wheat flour, sugar and petrol in a transparent manner and entire nation would be able to observe the positive impacts of federal government’s measures within a month or two, Haleem stated.
“We will handle the issue of inflation in the same manner as we dealt with COVID19 at the forefront,” he vowed. Speaking on the occasion, Khurram Sher Zaman said that Prime Minister Imran Khan raised a strong voice at international forums on the issue of sanctity of prophethood which was never done by rulers of the past.
He said that a true lover of Rasool Akram S.A.W would never fail and Imran Khan who intended to develop Pakistan on lines of Riyasat-e-Madina will emerge as triumphant. “No force can fail Imran Khan and he would the country farther on path of progress and prosperity,” he added.
Anti-Pakistan forces were hatching conspiracies and opposition parties had joined their band wagon, he said adding that opposition was harming the national interest in PTI’s hostility. Bilal Gaffar speaking on the occasion said that opposition parties were making hue and cry on inflation which was being driven by international dynamics. Global oil prices increased 90% percent while Pakistan allowed 23 % increase, he noted.
To provide relief to poor, PDL was being charged at Rs 5 per liter while rate of GST was lower to the possible level, he observed adding that government taxes on POL products were one fourth of the taxes charged in previous regimes.
State Bank of Pakistan has reported record surge in exports while it was confident that volume of annual exports and remittances would cross mark of $ 30 billion in the current financial year, he said adding that Volume of IT exports will also cross 250 billion this year.
IMF and World Banks also forecasted more than 5 percent GDP growth for Pakistan as federal government was not relying on engineered measures but taking consolidated efforts to deal with situation prudently, Bilal Gaffar said and hoped that a new history of economic growth was in making in Pakistan.
