Governor addresses open court in Kalat

KALAT: Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha, said Sunday they believe in addressing the basic problems of the people at their threshold.

These views were expressed by him while addressing an open court held in Kalat, the historic city of Balochistan. “Open court is an effective source to know the ground realities and problems of the people which help know the problems of people and accordingly bring it into the notice of concerned authorities for redressing”, said Agha, adding, “We believe in addressing the basic problems of the people at their threshold”. Governor Balochistan on the occasion recorded directives to the concerned authorities on the applications submitted to him for addressing the grievances.

Provincial Ombudsman, Nazar Baloch, senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Malik Faisal Dehwar, Chairman, Red Crescent Balochistan, Abdul Bari Bareach, Managing Director, Balochistan Education Foundation, Professor Shair Zaman and others were also present on the occasion. Meanwhile, a five-day-anti-polio drive is going to commence in 34 districts of Balochistan province on Monday (today).

According to reports, the target of administering anti polio drops to about 23 lac children below the age of 5 has been set during five-day-anti-polio drive to be commenced in 34 districts of Balochistan. 11084 teams, including 9172 mobile teams, 949 fixed sites and 592 transit points, would take part in the drive. It is worth mentioning that during anti polio drive, drops of vitamin-A would also be administered to the children below the age of five.
