Low gas pressure, power outages hits Pushtunabad

QUETTA: Haji Muhammad Ibrahim Khan Noorzai, President, Balochistan Darts Association (BDA), has said that residents of Pushtunabad, a dense populated area of Quetta city, are confronting multiple problems, including low gas pressure and unannounced power load-shedding.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, he said that in order to address the problems being faced by the residents of Pushtunabad, a special development package is inevitable to be announced for this neglected area of Quetta city. He said that during the previous general election, people of the area supported Qasim Suri, but after winning election, Qasim Suri, Deputy Speaker, National Assembly completely ignored the said area. Noorzai said that in his election campaign, Qasim Suri had promised to announce special development package for the development of Pushtunabad, but Qasim Suri has not yet fulfilled his promise despite lapse of considerable period of time.

He said that low gas pressure and un-announced power load-shedding have added to the miseries of the dwellers this backward area of Quetta city. He called on Prime Minister, Imran Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana to announce special development package for Pushtunabad so that sufferings of the people of that backward area of Quetta city could be alleviated.
