QUETTA: Qasim Ali Gagezai Advocate, Vice President, Balochistan Bar Council, has said that if clandestine accord was inked about the reservoirs of copper and gold of Reko-Dig, the move would be challenged before Supreme Court of Pakistan and Balochistan High Court.
Addressing a press conference at Quetta Press Club here on Monday, he said the media, the fourth pillar of the state, has been kept aloof from in-camera session of Balochistan Provincial Assembly which had been convened to give briefing to the members of Balochistan Provincial Assembly about Rekodiq reservoirs.
He said that lawyers community of the province was going to boycott court’s proceedings across the province on Tuesday (today)against Reko-Diq accord, adding that if clandestine accord was inked about the reservoirs of copper and gold of Reko-Diq, the move would be challenged before Supreme Court of Pakistan and Balochistan High Court. He said that after 18th constitutional amendment, all such powers had been devolved to the provinces.
On the occasion, Majeed Dumar, President, High Court Bar Association, Ayub Tareen Advocate, Rahib Buledi Advocate and others were also present.
