LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired a meeting at his office to review the launch of the environment-friendly electric tramway project.

The elevated expressway project from Gulberg to Motorway M-2 was also deliberated upon by the participants. The CM directed to start it on a priority basis as it would help travellers’ access to motorway while decreasing traffic burden at Canal Road and Multan Road.

The elevated expressway would pass through Canal Bank Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Multan Road, Bund Road to Babu Sabu. Interchanges would be constructed at Canal Bank Road, Jail Road, Ferozepur Road, Multan Road and Bund Road, he added. DG LDA briefed about the project. Advisor Dr Salman Shah, ACS, chairman P and D, secretaries of transport and housing departments, DG PMA and others attended the meeting.
