QUETTA: Government of Balochistan has cancelled all kinds of leaves due to heavy rainfall for a period of one week, however, leave in extreme emergency will be allowed by recording reasons and copy endorsed to the concerned Secretary. Necessary food, non-food items and machinery as well as equipments shall be on standby mode to cope up with any kind of unforeseen eventuality. All Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners of the province have been directed to further coordinate with Provincial Emergency Operation Center of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).

Services and General Administration Department (SandGAD), Government of Balochistan, while addressing all administrative departments, in a letter issued on January 4, 2022 stated that in view of current situation due to heavy rainfall/ snowfall and forecast of MET Department, all kind of leave in respect of employees of relevant departments is hereby cancelled with immediate effect for a period of one week. Leave in extreme emergency will be allowed by recording reasons and copy endorsed to the Secretary concerned.

SandGAD states that the relevant departments in districts and divisions shall report to concerned Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners. Necessary food, non-food items and machinery /equipment shall be on standby mode to cope up with any kind of unforeseen eventuality. SandGAD further stated that the Commissioners and Deputy Commissioners shall further coordinate with Provincial Emergency Operation Center of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Balochistan.
