Pishin: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) force on Sunday claimed to have recovered a huge cache of drugs, including 340kg heroin and 505kg Morphine from Pishin city of Balochistan province.

According to ANF information, the drugs were recovered in a raid from a cave in Balochistan’s Pishin city which had allegedly been smuggled from Afghanistan. The drug peddlers wanted to transport the stock of narcotics to a foreign country en route to Gwadar. The spokesperson said that 340-kilogram heroin and 505-kilogram Morphine were recovered during the raid.

On December 9, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in a raid at the Karachi seaport claimed to have recovered 96 kilogramme drugs from the two accused identified as Asif and Nabeel. The drugs were concealed in towels and booked in the name of an exporter identified as Cargo IB Trader. The cargo was being sent to Ontario province of Canada.

Earlier on November 23, Customs officials had captured a large haul of drugs in raids in Balochistan’s coastal town of Jiwani. On October 13, the ANF had foiled an attempt to smuggle heroin from the Islamabad International Airport. More than four kg of heroin, concealed at the bottom of a bag, was recovered from the luggage of a passenger when it was searched.
