Zardari strongly condemns Imran Khan for launching a hate campaign against national institutions

LARKANA: President of Pakistan Peoples Party-Parliamentarians Asif Ali Zardari has strongly condemned Imran Khan for launching a hate campaign against national institutions and called it a scandalous attempt to avoid accountability.

In his response, former president Asif Ali Zardari who arrived at Bhutto House, Naundero, on Sunday said in a statement issued here on Monday that Imran had lost his mental balance after being ousted from power through a constitutional process by the elected parliament of the people and now national institutions are being attacked.

He said that there was fear of corruption cases and foreign funding cases behind Imran Khan’s misconduct against national institutions, in which he was trying to use national institutions to avoid punishment.

President Zardari said that Imran Niazi, who was crossing all borders in his quest for power, seemed to be conspiring to divide the country. He said that in addition to propagating social media against national institutions, Imran himself is trying to incite people’s feelings by making false conspiracy statements in public meetings, which is highly condemnable.

He said that by spreading hatred for the chair, Imran Khan is not only harming Pakistan but also damaging the national institutions which will not be tolerated. Zardari said that because of Imran’s actions, the country has gone backwards in the last four years instead of going forward.

The campaign he has launched to defame and tarnish institutions is dangerous to the security of Pakistan and will benefit the forces of the country’s enemies. He said that Pak army is not only the guardian of Pakistan’s borders but also its duty is to protect the constitution and democracy.

Immediately after being ousted from power, he said that Imran was not only plotting to divide the army but was also undermining the constitution. He also said that Imran Niazi, who used to betray others, played himself in the role of Mir Jafar and Mir Sadiq in an unsuccessful attempt to stake Pakistan’s security, which he himself would have to suffer.
