An Intermediate student was killed when a gun went off accidentally in village Allah Dad Awan within the limits of Akri police station on Sunday.

According to the youth’s father Haji Ghulam Sarwar Awan, his son Meraj Awan was cleansing the gun when it went off accidentally and its bullet hit him.

As a result, he received critical injuries and died. The police handed over the body to the heirs after fulfilling the medico-legal formalities.

Separately, an electrician died due to electrocution while restoring the electricity supply in Gharibabad neighborhood of Paka Chang town, police said today.
