NAUNDERO: A young man was killed over an old enmity in Metla village near Larkana on Wednesday.

According to police, young man, Altaf, son of Bashir Brohi, was shot and injured over an old enmity between Brohi and Metla communities in Metla village near Larkana. His relatives rushed him to Chandka Hospital Larkana where he succumbed to his injuries as there are no emergency treatment facilities at Government Hospital Naindero since beginning. His body was brought back to Naundero for postmortem.

Members of the Brohi community alleged that police recently released criminal Waheed Metlo who killed our young man today along with his associates. They said old dispute was resolved between the two communities in which the Metla community was fined Rs 5 million by Mir Manzoor Panhwar who presided over the jirga out of which Rs one lac was pardoned and balance amount was to be paid to us but instead of paying the cash they murdered our young man today. They further alleged that had the police not released Waheed our youth would not have been killed by our opponents. They demanded justice.
