A young man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Masood Gali area of Pushtoonabad in the precincts of police station Pushtunabad Quetta on Friday.

According to police, unidentified assailants opened fire at a young man in Masood Gali area of Pushtunabad, killing him on the spot.

The victim was identified as Syed Wali Nurzai son of Shah Wali Nurzai, a resident of Pushtoonabad. His body was shifted to Sandeman Provincial Hospital Quetta and later handed over to the heirs after fulfilling necessary medico-legal formalities.

The incident has created a mourning atmosphere in the victim’s home. Further investigation was being conducted by the authorities of Police Station Pushtunabad, Quetta.
