QUETTA:Majabeen Sheran, Parliamentary Secretary for Women Development and Environment, has said that Women Development Department has prioritized to financially empower the skilled women of Balochistan province, enabling women of the province to play role for the progress and development of the province besides catering to the needs of their family.

These views were expressed by her while addressing the inaugural function of “Women Expo, 2023” held here on Wednesday under the auspices of Women Development Department. She said that women of the province were not only skilled but also laborious, hence, if opportunities were provided to them, women of the province would effectively play role in the economy of the province, adding that the role of Women Development Department, Balochistan to empower women of the province was pivotal.

Thanking the skilled women of other sister provinces to have participated in “Expo 2023”, she said that their participation would help increase the confidence of the skilled women of the province. Function was also addressed by Syed Sikandar Shah, Secretary, Women Development Department, Government of Balochistan, former Deputy Speaker Balochistan Provincial Assembly, Raheela Hameed Khan Durrani and Director Women Development, Balochistan, Shazia Riaz.

On the occasion, Additional Secretary to Chief Secretary Balochistan, Aurangzaib Badini, Additional Secretary, Communication and Works Department, Amir Hamza Zehri and large number of women from different walks of life attended the meeting.
