At least 23 people were killed and about one and half million were left without power as a massive winter storm hit the United States and Canada.

Over 250 million people are suffering due to heavy snow, howling winds and frigid temperatures reaching to -48 Celsius.

The storm known as “bomb cyclone” is the fiercest in decades forcing cancellation of thousand flights and closing roads and railways on the eve of Christmas.
