Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding a significant rise in water levels in rivers and streams across Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This is due to accelerated snow and glacier melt, along with recent rainfall.According to the PMD, these conditions could lead to localized flooding and riverbank erosion, posing potential challenges in the affected areas.
