Wider Access to Finance Needed to Drive Inclusive Growth: Aurangzeb

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has called for expanding the Access to Finance ecosystem to foster greater investment, stronger construction and agricultural activity, higher exports, employment generation, and sustainable, inclusive economic growth. He presided over a meeting of the Access to Finance Steering Committee in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister reviewed progress on initiatives aimed at expanding affordable and inclusive finance across housing, agriculture, SMEs, exports, information technology, renewable energy, and other priority sectors. The objective is to channel greater financial-sector capacity towards productive investment, enterprise creation, home ownership, agricultural productivity, and exports. This approach aims to translate macroeconomic stability into stronger, private sector-led, and inclusive growth.

Muhammad Aurangzeb emphasized that access to finance is fundamentally about expanding access to economic opportunity, underscoring its importance in driving the nation's economic agenda.
